Move Forward
Spend some time today being present. Focus on your breath, your movements, focus on yourself.
Spend some time today being present. Focus on your breath, your movements, focus on yourself.
The world is stressful, busy, and full of interruptions. It can wear you down and drain you of your energy and motivation. You probably spend most of your time focused on others or your job or the future.
But right now it’s time to take care of you.
It’s time to be more present. It’s time to take care of you.
Eat right. Eat right for you. Eat the foods that give you energy. Splurge a little so you don’t deprive yourself.
Drink enough water throughout the day so that you feel good.
Exercise. Move around everyday. Do it to boost your energy, not to zap you of more. Do it to lose what’s weighing you down physically, mentally, and emotionally.
In general, do the things that give you energy, so you can be more productive throughout the day and more engaged in play.
Which brings me to meditate. Take time to be mindful and present everyday. No matter who you are, no matter what you do, or how busy you are. Take time to take care of yourself.
Take 2 minutes a day to be mindful and to be present. Focus on something that isn’t work, isn’t a problem, isn’t a solution, isn’t a chore. Take 2 minutes to focus on something that brings you joy. Take 2 minutes to focus on a piece of art that just is. Focus on the colors, notice the depth and texture, and see the movement or stillness in the art. Recognize the emotions the piece or the title brings to you and let them go.
Welcome to your daily meditation moment. Everyday I am going to add a new piece of art to act as the focal point of your daily meditation.
So here is your first day
